I'll keep reading - hopeful that the Clara/Archie story is good. You probably could read this as a stand-alone, but you would miss a lot of interactions if you haven't read the first book, Black Sheep. You need to know how to write succinct, formulaic explanations (e.g., for FAQs), and how to write things like executive summaries, white papers, abstracts and bibliographies--even letters. Too often in our busy world, we lose our ability to make conscious choices about food and how to eat. I appreciated hearing about how many different kinds of cooperatives are successful around the world. But that's it, no further depth on these areas. And reading the book has been an overwhelming moment for me. Thanks.. I'm a lifelong ornithologist and bibliophile, and I've never seen anything like this man's work. The front endpapers have pictures of 12 different breeds of hens, while the back endpapers sport the corresponding roosters. The pen-and-ink and watercolor drawings are predominantly in soft tones of yellow and brown; some are almost comical.
