I think that $120 for a text book is an exaggeration!. There are also two portraits that show young children holding fashion dolls of the 16th and 17th century. The value of doing so significantly enhances both the learning process as well as the the professional growth of the student therapist. The discriptions are very clearly worded and tell what to look for in each century, as well as how lace was used on clothing. All of Pat Earnshaw's books are wonderful resouces in the study of laces and this book is a great find for the early days of lace making. Book did a wonderful job helping me do some self introspection. This workbook affords students the opportunity to delve deeper into their personal reactions and thoughts prompted from the reading of the textbook. I highly recomend this book to anyone who is interested in the history of lace..
